Cooking

“The only real stumbling block is fear of failure. In cooking you’ve got to have a what-the-hell attitude.”
― Julia Child

“An idealist is one who, on noticing that a rose smells better than a cabbage, concludes that it makes a better soup.”
― Bertrand Russell

Yes.  I would say that those two quotes just about sum up what I’m trying to do with this blog…

Ah, cooking.  I think what draws me so much to this primal activity is that every sense is involved.  If you’re having fun, you’re doing it right.  Using your creative nature.  And allowing your brain to be immersed in all of the sights, sounds, textures, and tastes of the task that you are undertaking.  And of course there is both a certain philosophy and clearly a science to cooking.  And both of these complete the cooking package for me as something that is easily attainable but always expanding and growing.

Feel free to explore this section which is divided up into topics like ingredients, techniques, and recipes.
